Chef Javier Chavez

Chef Javier was raised in El Paso, Texas where his passion for cooking was undeniable. He studied Culinary Arts at the Art Institute in San Antonio. His determination and passion led him to relocate to Paris, France to broaden his skills. There, he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with The Grande Diplôme for cooking and baking classical French cuisine. He quickly relocated to Las Vegas where he started working at Postrio with Wolfgang Puck. Chef Javier quickly advanced and landed his first Executive Chef position at Tremezzo at the young age of 25. He continued expanding his knowledge into other cuisines while working at Vic and Anthony’s at the Golden Nugget, Mi Casa at The Silverton, Mercadito at Red Rock Resort, Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq and Whist Stove at The District at Green Valley Ranch.

In 2015, Chef Javier opened his first restaurant, Kitchen Table, carefully crafting his concept of “A Social Eatery” where customers could come together, converse and enjoy a style of cooking typically only found on the Las Vegas Strip. Chef Javier presents his French techniques, Latin flavor profiles, and unique restaurant concept to form a unique breakfast, lunch and brunch dining experience in the suburbs of Henderson, Nevada. Due to the overwhelming success of Kitchen Table, Chef Javier is expanding to a second restaurant concept, Kitchen Table Squared, in November 2017, where he broadens his Latin and European breakfast and brunch concept to include a sophisticated yet approachable dinner service.

"BEST NEW HENDERSON RESTAURANT"

Kitchen Table

by: Thrillist

Neighborhood/Location: Henderson (right?)

Description: It's only open for breakfast and lunch, but the brand new Kitchen Table is offering an ambitious menu that is both challenging and inviting with a perfectly prepared Monte Cristo, tostadas made with pork from a suckling pig, freshly smoked bacon on the patio, and seared foie gras on your choice of pancakes, waffles, French toast, or biscuits. Pop up dinners are planned once a month, giving you no excuse not to check out a place eager to compete with the heavyweights on the Strip.

"THE KITCHEN TABLE IS FAST BECOMING A LOCAL BREAKFAST FAVORITE" - LAS VEGAS WEEKLY 2/11/2016

Comforts of home can be found at Kitchen Table

By Caitlyn Belcher, Las Vegas Review Journal

To start, appetizers include breakfast taquitos (chorizo, potato, pickled slaw, avocado cream and crema), monkey bread (cinnamon balls), bacon and egg shooters (house mayo, pickled jalapenos and crispy bacon) and Greek yogurt (served with seasonal jam and granola).

Entrees feature chilaquiles (ancho sauce, Oaxaca cheese, smoked pork, scrambled eggs, black beans and one fried egg), a doughnut sandwich (sausage, fried egg and Irish cheddar) and a vegetarian hash (roasted seasonal squash, peppers, potatoes, garlic confit, fresh herbs and eggs) and chicken fried steak (house breaded steak, chipotle sausage gravy, house potatoes and two eggs).

Most items range between $3 and $13.

In addition to a dine-in menu, the eatery also offers grab-and-go items, such as muffins, crepes and bagels. Coffees include cappuccinos, americanos, iced and regular. Prices range from $3 to $12.

The family-friendly restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating; however, the place gets packed quickly, so arrive early if you want a chance to try the pastries before they sell out.

Kitchen Table is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
